Two wrestlers, Zac Kohler (7th grade) and DJ Cohen (8th grade) members of the RMMS wrestling team, qualified to wrestle for Team Utah by beating all challengers two out of three matches in their respective weight class. Wrestling on Team Utah is a very prestigious accomplishment which allows both athletes to compete on a national level and represent the State of Utah all around the country.

On December 12th through the 15th the team traveled to Richmond Virginia to compete at the VACW Middle School Holiday Duals, a team dual tournament that showcases the best of the best from all across the country. Some have speculated that this is the toughest tournament in the entire country and to even be able to wrestle there is an achievement in and of itself. Team Utah finished the weekend in 14th place. Zac Kohler wrestling at 90 pounds, went 3-7 having faced some stiff competition. DJ Cohen wrestling at 145 pounds went 8-2 overall and finished with the third best record on the team. He also had the quickest pin of the team at 25 seconds and received the teams most outstanding wrestler award.

Both wrestlers will also compete on the same team this weekend at the Clash before Christmas Duals in Farmington Utah. They both want to thank all the coaches, parents, and fans that spend so much time and energy to support them.
