Dennis H. Campbell passed away in his home surrounded by his family Dec. 20, 2013, at the age of 70 after years of patiently enduring.

Born April 9, 1943, to Lucille Fife and later adopted by Reed Campbell. On June 3, 1967, he married his sweetheart Sharron (DeeDee) Dent in the Oakland, California Temple. With a deep love of the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he received a masters from Brigham Young University and pursued a rewarding career as an Institute and Seminary teacher for the LDS Church in many places, including Heber City, Orem, and Pocatello, Idaho. Teaching was one of his biggest joys in life and he was beloved by his students. However, his proudest emotional investment and intellectual pursuit was fathering and mentoring his children and grandchildren.

Survived in death by loving wife, Sharron Campbell, his five children Troy (Kim) Campbell, Derek (Marshae) Campbell, Tara (Shane) Bauman, Shaylce (Jesse) Hokanson, and Tiffany (Seth) Wheeler, and his sixteen grandchildren that adored him, siblings Ron (Connie) Campbell, Luinda (Marvin) White, Leola Callegos, Rio (Bill) Dewey, and Christine (Gary) Randall.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m., at the LDS 104th South Chapel, at 1540 West 10400 South in South Jordan. Viewings will be held on Friday, Dec. 27, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, and on Saturday, from 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m., at the church. Interment Heber City Cemetery. Online condolences at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
