Tonight Wasatch County will be treated to some of the best classes and break-out sessions to benefit the youth and parents of today that money can buy - but the best part, is that they are absolutely FREE.

The 2018 Issues Conference is being held at Wasatch High School, which begins with a keynote presentation by BYU Professor Hank Smith - who will give a presentation on “Avoid Dating a Jerk” - How to follow your heart without losing your mind, followed by two sessions of breakout workshops.

Topics of the break out sessions include “To Tweet or Not to Tweet” by Matt Heimberger: How do we find our true self in a virtual world by re-thinking the way we use technology; “Conquering Stress and Anxiety” by Dr. Scott Phillips: What is stress, and what does it do to our health?; “How to Save a Life” by Trudy Brereton and Amber Pulley: Just as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR can recognize the warning signs of suicide crisis and can refer someone to help.and “Bullyology” by Ben Springer: Effective bully prevention has never been more important. Plus much more.

To stress the importance of attending this conference, many teachers gave extra credit to students who attended.

Many hours goes into the planning of the break out sessions to make them informative as well as entertaining to attendees.

If you miss it, you will truly miss out on some great information. The conference is a great resource for parents and teens alike.

Don’t miss this incredible conference.
