In one of the most exciting games at Wasatch High School, the boys basketball team obliterated the Park City Miners 76 to 47.

Wasatch came out in the 1st quarter and scored 20 points to Park City’s 9. Although the Wasps had a high scoring quarter, they struggled offensively as they adjusted to Park City’s defense. In the 2nd quarter the Wasps still dominated by scoring 21 points to Park City’s 11.

“We looked really good,” said Head Coach Jason Long. “We had to adjust a few thing at the beginning, but we really looked good.”

After the half, Wasatch came out and dominated the 3rd quarter 20 to 12 as Park City’s defense crumbled under the Wasps offense.

“We were able to see a lot of guys play tonight,” said Coach Long. “We are deep on the bench, and we had a lot of guys put up some big points.”

Brandon Maxwell led the team with 22 points. Daniel Miller, a move in from California, put up 15 points. Logan Park finished the game with 13.

“Everybody played well,” said Coach Long. “We are looking forward to a great season. The most exciting about the game was our fans! They were awesome and we really appreciate the support, especially from the students.
